Bequests

Leave a G.R.E.A.T. Legacy

A “bequest” in your will or living trust is an uncomplicated way to help support the Golden Retrievers we at GREAT Rescue work so hard to protect. A bequest can be a specific sum, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after expenses and gifts to loved ones. Living trusts are a popular choice because the terms of a living trust, unlike a will, can be put into effect immediately upon your death, bypassing probate and keeping the terms private. Adding an amendment to your will or living trust is a relatively easy task that can be completed by your attorney. Should you have questions about GREAT’s organization structure or nonprofit status, feel free to contact us at info@greatrescue.org

We also encourage you to consider your pets. Remember that in the eyes of the law, pets are property. Make sure you have indicated in your will where they will be placed if something happens to you. If there is no other home in which you wish to place your goldens, they can always be surrendered to GREAT. Don’t let your beloved family pet end up in a shelter or be euthanized because you neglected to indicate your preferences in your will.
